Imagine being executed for a murder someone else committed.
Imagine being pulled up from you home, having your limbs cut off, and being dropped back down to die.
Imagine half of everyone you know dieing.
Imagine living on Earth for 400 million years, and aliens come and kill over 90% of you.
Imagine being a shark.

Know the truth.

Sharks have more reasons to fear humans than humans have to fear sharks!

It's really sad. People think that sharks are evil and are nothing but mindless man-eaters, so the solution?
DESTROY THEM ALL

So many things are wrong with that.
* Apparently, according to that mentality, we should just get rid of anything that is remotely a danger to us as human beings. So we should kill off lions, tigers, bears, poisonous plants, etc, because they're capable of killing us.
* They have no education on how the ecosystem works. x| Killing off an entire species will not solve matters, but rather put every animal (Including us) in jeopardy as we know it. Sharks are more important to our ecosystem than people might think.

And regardless, sharks aren't even as horrible and evil as people say. People have come to think they do nothing but go and eat everything they see. Granted, it's happened, but on extremely rare occasions. You're more likely to get struck by lightening than attacked by a shark. Sharks weren't exactly seen as monsters until the movie "Jaws" came out, but even then, people have to understand it's just a fictional movie.

It's a shame. Poor things. :/

THank you for making this stamp! I am a huge shark lover and hate the title movies give them! People need to research them instead of jumping to conclusions.

Great stamp. I have a lot of respect for sharks but still swim a lot out in the ocean. One thing I do hear a bit from people who know I do that is "But aren't you afraid of the sharks?" You could be unlucky but the stats speak for themselves (You're more likely to be injured driving to the beach).

True :D
Actually you just reminded me of a photo I took when I was on holiday a few years ago. It was a sign warning you all about the killer jellyfish and at the bottom was a picture of someone about to be hit on the head by a coconut. I guess coconuts can do quite a bit of damage if one hit you. No mention of sharks on the sign (I think everyone was more worried about the crocodiles to be honest, which I found kind on amusing in a bad way because the "swimming area" was less than 200m from the "Do not enter the water because of crocodiles" area. Go figure.)

Anyway sorry about the ramble, will stop now. But by the way, how on earth do you get injured by a vending machine?! o.O
