Before you move on.
This contains strong words about MY personal thoughts on how I view drawing. Do I think that YOU should see things the same way? nah. Agree with me? cool! :D But

This isn't aimed at all "sparkledogs"
....or even sparkledogs in general

only the ones that kinda sorta take the whole.....sparkle thing a little too far....... I mean, go for it! it just....gets a little freaky.

THIS IS NOT HATING ON WOLVES. I ENJOY WOLVES AS AN ANIMAL. OBVIOUSLY. OR I WOULDN'T HAVE PRACTICED THEIR ANATOMY INTO THE DIRT

If you think you can manage...read further for my opinion.

It's ok to love/draw/practice/enjoy/respect wolves.
I personally do not enjoy sparkledogs. I think they tend to stray from what a real wolf is. If you like them, go ahead XD But a lot of people tend to agree with me, and thats why sparkledogs get flamed.

To be honest? By trying to draw wolves NATURALLY right from the start, you learn more about them and will be better at drawing them.

Somewhere along the line, your rainbow colored mow-hawked anorexic canine(?) stops looking Original. You want to stand out? Make a wolf character that is

Striking not loud ang gaudy

The most memorable original characters I ever see are usually somewhat natural, or simple in some way. Simplicity is beautiful :)


I guess what I'm saying here is, what I like to see is people enjoying wolves for what they ARE. Not what they want them to be. I mean, a little is ok, but I feel like the REAL wolf is disappearing, and it often gets grouped in with a fandom many think is out of control.



I LOVE REAL WOLVES, AND LOTS OF OTHER KICKASS ANIMALS,

LIKE DOLPHINS.

Oh, and by the way thats a terrible example you used, striking rainbow mohawk.... Terrible, it seems that you get ticked off at even the slightest deviation... which is funny.. heh... a person who hates deviations using deviantart... Heheheh....

Look if you're voicing your opinion, thats cool. And there are people out there that DO like to draw 'sparkldogs'? No, i'm afraid thats just a word used to flame, you dont seem like a flamer so dont use flame-words. Anyways, this is funny because whats the point of drawing art if you can only draw whats natural? Its really none of my concern why you're so boxed in like this in this way. Moving on why did you need to voice this out there so bad? Are you getting pissed at people that like to draw outside the box because you'd like everybody to be a square like you? I'm just curious here and i can see some people agree with you, and if anybody besides you responds to this comment i will simply ignore because i do not respond to trolling. But really, was it really THAT neccesary to go and deviate every picture that isnt 100% normal out there? Some of the greatest paintings of all time werent natural. The phrase "You're a regular picasso." Picasso was an abstract artist, he drew paintings that were very odd and out of place, by no means would you find these things in real life. Sigh, whatever. You may not like these unnatural drawings, but let me tell you; You're in a very small corner of the world if you feel that way. And so are the people that agree with you.
